Bringing People Together Through Music and Culture
At ARTivisten, we regularly organize music and cultural projects with international artists — creating spaces where people from different backgrounds meet, collaborate, and experience each other’s traditions firsthand.
Migrant Sounds
Migrant Sounds started as a music project within ARTivisten and has since grown into an independently active Latin American band. Founded by José Carlos Mayorga (Guatemala) and based in Berlin, Migrant Sounds plays music from across Latin America — including Chile, Brazil, and Guatemala — and regularly organizes joint concerts with guest musicians from around the world.
The band performs regularly across Berlin — from intercultural festivals to intimate concert evenings — using music as a universal language to build connection, unity, and creativity across cultures.
La Peña de ARTivisten
Launching September 26, 2026, La Peña de ARTivisten is an ongoing event series dedicated to Latin American music and culture, regularly inviting Latino artists to share their music with Berlin’s audiences.
LAfrican Jam Sessions
From March to June 2026, the LAfrican Jam Sessions brought together the rhythms of Latin America and Africa in one shared space — an open format celebrating the diversity of Latin American and African rhythms, and creating room for music, intercultural encounter, and playing together.
